Hyderabad: In commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the Indian Constitution, the Telangana Jagruthi Student Federation will host a seminar on January 26 at the Telangana Saraswatha Parishath in Hyderabad.
BRS MLC K Kavitha will deliver the keynote address, with the event aimed at fostering meaningful dialogue on the Constitution's implementation, its challenges, and its relevance in the modern era. The gathering will include research scholars, leaders, and students from various fields.
Unveiling the poster of the seminar titled “Ganatantra Bharat, Jaagrutha Bharat" earlier today, the leadership of Telangana Jagruthi emphasised the importance of revisiting the foundational principles of the Constitution. They stressed the need for collective efforts to ensure that its benefits reach all citizens, particularly marginalized communities.
The seminar will provide a platform for diverse voices to engage in discussions on key issues such as the challenges in implementing the rights guaranteed by the Constitution, the role of the judiciary in upholding constitutional values, and the ongoing struggles faced by women and minority groups in accessing their rights.
Besides, the seminar will explore key themes such as strengthening democracy and transparency through necessary reforms, elections and democracy under the Indian Constitution, the approach of contemporary governments towards constitutional values, and caste enumeration and its implications.
